Trivia Night – 80s Party Mix

Party-mix-logo

The 80s Fundraiser was a smash hit and best of all we raised a huge $67,000!! This is a record folks and it’s all thanks to you.

Thank you to everyone for embracing it with such enthusiasm and excitement and for being so generous. What a wonderful reflection on our school community! You dug deep and partied with a vengeance. Who knew it would be such fun to feel like a teenager again! The costumes were brilliant. The room was awash with eyeshadow, fluoro, mullet wigs, lace and the big hit was the guy riding in on his bike with ET in his basket. The only complaints were sore heads and sore feet the following day – both self inflicted.

Rob and his team of dancers kick started the night with a song about angry parents. Very funny. Sarah Shannon then took it further with her hysterical song poking fun at the whole lot of us! Might need to get the words printed. The parent band filled the dance floor and Quin got everyone doing their best 80s dance moves. One parent summed it up nicely… “It was a true 80s party, Drank too much – Danced too much – Laughed too much – Perfect.”

Trivia 039.1

We would like to thank the following people who made it a hugely successful night: Sarah Shannon and Sam Fleming our MCs, David Faktor our auctioneer, Quin Smyth our DJ, Stuart West our parent band coordinator and all the band members and Vicki and Julianna in the front office.
