WELCOME BBQ
WHEN: The Welcome BBQ is an annual event held during the first term of the new school year.
WHO IS IT FOR: Our entire school community!
WHO HOSTS IT: The event is organised by Year One families, with the generous support of the P&C.
WHAT IS IT: A fun and welcoming social event designed to introduce our new Kindys, other new students, and their families to our vibrant school community!
Imagine a relaxed atmosphere with music for the kids to dance to, various activities, and of course – a BBQ! Designed to provide you with a lowkey opportunity to meet other families, chat with teachers, and let the kids run around and play.
MOTHER'S DAY

WHEN: Before school on the second Friday of May each year, making it easy to remember!
WHO IS IT FOR: The whole school, but especially our mothers and mothering figures in our community.
WHO HOSTS IT: This event is put together by a fantastic bunch of P&C volunteers.
WHAT IS IT: Show off your early morning striker skills while grabbing some brekky with the kids. And maybe land yourself an unexpected raffle win at the same time!
During the school day, students are given the opportunity to select a nice wee gift for their mother from the ever popular Mother’s Day Stall.
MOVIE NIGHT & SHORT FILM COMPETITION
WHEN: This event moves round during the school calendar but we aim for a warm night for outdoor movie watching.
WHO IS IT FOR: The whole school community.
WHO HOSTS IT: This event is organised by our fabulous Moonlight Volunteer Team, and supported by our canteen ladies, and the many the parents who get involved on the night.
WHAT IS IT: There are two halves to this event; firstly in the weeks leading up students have the opportunity to make a short film to showcase their creative talents. We are always blown away with how creative our student are! The best films are shown on the night and the winners announced to much fanfare.
After that we all settle in to watch a great movie together with popcorn, hot chocolate and other yummy snacks!

FATHERS DAY SHOOT OUT

WHEN: Before school on the first Friday September, making it easy to remember!
WHO IS IT FOR: The whole school, but especially our dads and the father figures in our students lives.
WHO HOSTS IT: This event is put together by a fantastic bunch of P&C volunteers.
WHAT IS IT: Early morning chaos of the best kind! Shoot some hoops with the kids, a grab coffee & a few delicious pastries, and enter the raffle to pick up an awesome prize or two. This year they even set up a mini bowling green. All in all, cracking way to start the day!
GRANDPARENTS OPEN MORNING
WHEN: one morning during Term 4
WHO IS IT FOR: Our opportunity to welcome grandparents, and grandparent figures into our school.
WHO HOSTS IT: Our school with support from the P&C
WHAT IS IT: Open classrooms – students get the opportunity to invite their grandparents to see their classrooms, check out what they have been busy creating, and watch learning in action. This is followed by the very tempting cake stall run by our Y6 Students (busy raising funds for their graduation celebrations) and book fair where you can select to donate a book to enhance our library selection.

OUR BIENNIAL FUNDRAISER

WHEN: Held every two years, in the later part of the year.
WHO IS IT FOR: This is the only event in our calendar that is strictly for the grown ups!
WHO HOSTS IT: Our P&C, and organised by a bunch of awesome fun loving parents who know how to throw a party!
WHAT IS IT: A night to celebrate, connect, and support our incredible school community. Parents and carers come together to celebrate, boogie the night away and raise funds for our back to our local school and the children in our school community. There is a silent auction, raffle and live entertainment. And yes, here is food…
YEAR SIX
GRADUATION DINNER
WHEN: In the last weeks of the school year, Term 4.
WHO IS IT FOR: Our graduating Year Six students, their teachers and support staff.
WHO HOSTS IT: Lovingly put together by the Year Six Graduation Committee, with the support of our school and the P&C Executive.
WHAT IS IT: A end of school dinner and dance, giving the students a chance to celebrate the end of their Bondi Beach school days. Each year the students and their committee tweak the event to make it personal to their year and they often incorporate a fun day out and Year book into their celebrations.
